Spanish Memories™ is much more than a business. This is a dream that God planted in my soul. We are a very young company striving to provide Hispanics creative and high quality scrapbook products to preserve our memories in the language we cherish the most: Spanish!
We love what we do. We are very proud of our language and we are sure you will notice it. We take pride in our graphic design and we will work hard every day to bring creativity, fun and elegance to your Spanish scrapbook layouts.
Who are we?
My name is Omayra Ortiz and I am the President of Spanish Memories, Inc. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and moved with my husband Nelson to the United States in 1993. We have been blessed with three beautiful children: Adriel Isaac, Victoria Catalina and Gabriel Isaac.
Spanish is my native language and I am very proud of it! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Modern Languages, with postgraduate credits in Translation (University of Puerto Rico). I have been a freelance translator, editor and writer for the last eight years. If you combine my love for my language and my passion for scrapbooking you have the reason why Spanish Memories exists!
My “partner in crime” is my husband Nelson. He is a law enforcement officer for the Federal government (¡ay, ay, ay!) and he manages the business aspects of Spanish Memories. He is my soul mate and the support and strength I needed to start Spanish Memories. Someday I’ll make him sit down to do a layout with me!
Josué Torres is our head graphic designer and creative team director. What could we do without him? He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design from the Sagrado Corazón University in Puerto Rico. His creativity and zeal for what he does amazes us every day.
Yamil Pérez recently joined our creative team. She has an amazing talent and a big heart. She is a passionate scrapbooker and designer. Yamil is currently teaching scrapbooking classes in different venues in Puerto Rico.
Spanish Memories also has a great support group that works very hard in everything we do: Sandra Figueroa, Amarilis Rivera, Armando Allen and Damaris Torres. We also have the support of our pastor, Rev. Héctor Santiago, and our church, Iglesia Cristiana (Discípulos de Cristo) del Norte de Orlando. Thank you! Knowing that we can count on you is truly a blessing!
